Scrapheap Challenge involves a whole heap of scrap and lots of creative thinking. In this challenge, teams are tasked with building a product made of scrap to protect an egg when dropped from a height.
Equipment Required: Scrap (anything and everything), old newspapers, scissors, paper, pens and sellotape.
Space Required: Small (depending on group size). Indoors or outdoors.
Group Size:Â 8 to 50.
Total Time:Â 60 minutes
- 5 minutes to brief and set up
- 20 minutes for task one
- 20 minutes for task two
- 5 minutes launch/testing
- 5 minutes to review
